Manmeet Bhatti had never in her wildest dreams imagined that she would ever have become a photographer. Interior designer maybe or architect or artist or doctor perhaps, but never a photographer.
Born and brought up in a naval background, her early years were a lot of fun and before she knew it she found herself in the heart of Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts.
She was ecstatic to not only pass out from one of the premier art schools but to do it walking away with a Young CAG and a couple of other awards. Right after this, she assisted Farrokh Chothia before starting out on her own.
Her first assignment was stilled for a film and the first shoot was with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan for a look test. And as they say, the rest is history.
Besides doing publicity for a few movies like Black, Paheli, Kabhi Alvida na kahana, Page 3, She also went on to do a lot of editorial work for various fashion and lifestyle magazines.
Through her work on Kaya skin clinic, Sugarfree, Pantaloon, Central, Gini & Jony, L’oreal Matrix, Wella, Galaxy chocolates, Economic Times and several other brands, she had the opportunity to experiment in and explore fashion, beauty, and portraiture.
She is in awe of the play of light. For her, as pictures evolve, lights and shadows create magic….
